Nicola Caredda, and his brush made of saturated colours, implement a ‘metaphorical grammar’ which is alienating and seductive, close to dispelling fear and anguish. This internal (strenuous) technical enquiry delivers an elaboration of our times, of his very personal here and now. This dreamy visionary language sources from American Surrealistic Pop and science-fiction comics; meticulous attention to details to describe a faded society, studded with industrial ruins. His works bear a silent inhabited universe, made of ruins, post-modern debris and melancholy relics in a hanging-rarefied ambience where nature takes back what belongs to her.
